Sources & Editorial Policy

Hades Guides is built as an edited strategy database, not a raw link dump or automated content feed. This page explains how guide pages are researched, how screenshots and video frames are used, how corrections are handled, and how future community content will be moderated before it appears publicly.

Gameplay footage and screenshots

Guide pages may use in-game screenshots, cropped video frames, and local reference frames to illustrate attack timing, arena pressure, boon choices, or route decisions.

Public guide references

Videos, written guides, community discussions, and official game information may be used as research references. The final page is rewritten into original strategy explanations instead of copied from a single source.

Hands-on structure

Each article is organized around practical run decisions: what to watch, when to dash, what to equip, what to upgrade, and which related page helps next.

Guide Quality

What each guide should do

  • Every public guide should answer a clear player problem, not only summarize a character or item.
  • Boss pages should include background context, pattern reads, safe punish windows, recommended setups, screenshots, and related reads.
  • Weapon, boon, keepsake, collectible, and resource pages should explain when the recommendation is strong and when a player should choose a different route.
  • Content should be useful without requiring a user to watch the source video, while video references can help players verify timing or examples.
  • Pages should avoid unsupported claims, misleading affiliation language, and template filler.

Media Use

Screenshots, video frames, and rights holders

  • Hades Guides is an unofficial fan-made strategy site and is not affiliated with Supergiant Games.
  • Hades, Hades II, characters, names, and original game assets belong to their respective rights holders.
  • Screenshots and video frames are used for commentary, criticism, identification, and practical gameplay explanation.
  • If a rights holder, creator, or player wants a credit corrected, a frame removed, or a source note changed, they can contact the site with the exact page URL and details.

Future Community Content

Moderation before discussion goes public

  • Player discussion will stay hidden until moderation rules and review workflows are ready.
  • If comments or submissions are enabled later, they will be reviewed before public display.
  • Spam, copied guide text, adult content, hate content, personal attacks, malicious links, and infringing uploads will not be accepted.
  • External links from users will be limited and may be removed at editorial discretion.

Corrections and media requests

To request a correction, credit update, image adjustment, or media removal, send the exact page URL, the item that needs review, and the preferred action. Requests are reviewed before publication changes are made.
